Terms of service

Last updated August 1, 2026

Plain-language terms for using Kitchen-CEO. By creating an account you agree to what follows.

Your account

You need a valid email address to use Kitchen-CEO. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. One person per account — household members each get their own login.

Households

A household is a shared workspace. Anyone you invite can add, edit, and remove pantry items, meals, and list entries for that household. Invite only people you trust with that access.

Savings estimates

The savings number in the app is an estimate. It compares the cost of the meals you cooked at home against a typical takeout or restaurant cost for a household of your size. It is a planning tool, not accounting, and should not be treated as a financial record.

AI features

Receipt scanning, meal suggestions, and expiry estimates are generated by AI and can be wrong. Always review extracted items before saving, and use your own judgement on food safety and expiry dates. Kitchen-CEO does not provide medical, nutritional, or food-safety advice.

Subscriptions

  • Every account starts with a 14-day free trial with full access. After the trial, a limited free plan remains available with reduced receipt scanning and recipe search.
  • The Premium plan is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel any time from Settings — access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

Acceptable use

  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
  • Do not attempt to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not resell access to Kitchen-CEO or use it to build a competing dataset.

Your content and our content

Your pantry data, photos, recipes, and notes stay yours. You give us a limited licence to store and process them so the app can work for you and your household. The Kitchen-CEO name, logo, design, and software stay ours.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or puts other people's data at risk. If we close your account without cause, we refund any unused portion of a paid period.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Kitchen-CEO available and improving, but the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features, and we will give notice of material changes to these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Kitchen-CEO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including spoiled food, missed meals, inaccurate savings estimates, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first — email us and give us 30 days. If that fails, disputes are handled by the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Utah, and you and Kitchen-CEO LLC each consent to that venue.
